anita-frank-nowFor the more serious dancer's, Anita Ehrler's Dance Extensions (A.E.D.E.) maintains a competition company. This requires dedication and commitment. Required minimum class hours a week are 5, and the minimum age is 10 years. Over the years, A.E.D.E. is always recognized as one of the best in earning top honors of Gold Medals, Grand Champion and Best Choreography. In addition to competitions, the company does various charitable performances. Company members are selected by teachers invitation and or auditions. A.E.D.E. offers the competition experience to singers as well.

The Broadway Dance Camp was started in the summer of 1989. While sitting around backstage at the Winter Garden theatre, Frank and his fellow "Cats" came up with the idea to bring their fellow Broadway performers out to A.E.D.E. to teach during the month of July. Since then, the camp has brought many dancers, singers, and actors out to the studio to teach at the camp. Campers may take 1,2,3, or 4 week sessions. Ages 8 to 18 are eligible. Some previous experience is necessary.

Each year A.E.D.E. holds annual Dance, Acting and Voice recitals. Each having their own separate show. All students generally perform, however provisions can be made for a student to attend the school and not perform in the dance recital. Voice and Acting students must perform in the year end recitals if attending the third session. It has been said time and again that "the recitals produced by Anita Ehrler and Frank Mastracola have rivaled Broadway itself". The performances at the end of the year are a culmination of all the years work and serve as a great motivator.
